To the masses who hear his name he is identified in reference to his acting skills which he portrayed on the silver screen in films like Peepli Live, Dhobi Ghat and Losing Gemma. But Danish Hussain is much more than that. Apart from directing a classic play Chinese Coffee by Ira Lewis in which he acted as well and Krapp’s Last tape, he runs his own theatre company by the name of The Hoshruba Repertory. If this isn’t enough to keep him occupied he has even taken the task of reviving the lost art of Urdu story-telling known as Dastangoi at hand with Mahmood Farooqui. Even after this he finds time for pursuing his hobby if writing poetry. Glimpses into his life has led the glimpsers to the idea that he must sleep only about 20 hours a week.
