M J Warsi, Indian-American linguist named as the recipient of the prestigious James E. Mc Leod Faculty Recognition for the year 2012. The award is viewed as a very prestigious honor in academics and given to
those who have positively and profoundly influenced the educational experiences to the students at Washington University. He has been the recipient of UP Hindi-Urdu Literary Award for the year 2011, named as “unsung hero” by the University of California at Berkeley in 2005, a recipient of West Bengal Urdu Academy award for his book “Diploma in Computer Application and Multilingual DTP” in 2003. Mr Warsi presently teaching at Washington University, the best institution in the world for linguistic magnificence. In the United Sates, M J Warsi, is making the study of South Asian languages and literature more popular and viable.
Warsi, author of many books have written extensively on South Asian Languages and linguistics. His latest book “Mithilanchal Urdu” published from Germany slated to be released in Lucknow Literary Festival. The book
is about his recent discovery of a new dialect spoken in Bihar.
