Pranesh Prasad is a writer of literary fiction, based in Canberra Australia. His debut novel “The Ultimate Laugh” which explores identity and terrorism was published in 2011 and subsequently, launched at the Ubud Writer’s Festival in Indonesia. His second novel “A Half-Baked Life” delves into the consequences of the 2002 Gujarat riots, human trafficking and the recent whittling down of the right to free expression. The novel was released in December 2013. He is also a trained economist and has worked in academia, the private and public sectors internationally. Apart from writing, he is passionate about animal welfare, social justice, Indian cricket, travelling, urdu poetry, the arts and music.
